AHI is working with it's second class of students. Many of the first class went on to become AHI and Guesthouse
staff members. The second class of students are in their first year of vocational training.
The first
year the curriculum has focused on housekeeping, character development, and the basics of cooking. This will
continue in year two with a greater emphasis on practicals in cooking, service and food production. Leadership
and english language fluency are also being taught.
Few if any of the young Ugandan students would be able to afford the tuition for this course.
Your donations and sponsorships allow a student -- selected through a rigorous interview and application process
-- to attend who otherwise would not have the means of doing so.
Many students have completed their primary school education
and several years of Secondary education but dropped out due to a lack of funds, the need
to support the family or have not been able to find work after graduating. AHI is a second chance for many of
them to obtain employable skills!

are sponsoring. You will also receive regular notes and updates from the student. You decide whether to keep the
sponsorship anonymous or not.
