Help AHI achieve its goals |
For our Vocational School
- To be a transformational community of friends where hospitality is practiced as a sacred art
- As a transformational community, we model and encourage radical life change through the growth and
development of intentional communities worldwide
- To strive for self-sustainability through income earned at our Guesthouse facility that can underwrite the
expenses of the vocational school while using those facilities to teach restaurant, hotel and professional domestic
skills to vulnerable and chronically poor youth ages 17-25 years old.
- To be an innovative learning center with ‘hands on’ training, graduating students that are trustworthy,
professionally trained and employed in the Hospitality Sector of East Africa
- To provide our employees with an environment of Grace where they can reflect the love of Jesus to others,
visitors and students, and develop their own business skills.
- To provide a healthy work environment with fair pay, kindness, fun and creative work
- To provide employers with a trained and trustworthy workforce within the Service / Hospitality Sector
- To work across lines of cultural or faith differences, develop relationships of trust and unite our community
with hope, freedom and love through our commitment to follow Jesus
For our Guesthouses

- To be a model of integrity and character, a reflection of Jesus in all that we do
- To provide excellence and sanctuary to our Guests through elegant lodging and high quality meals with
professional service and personalized care.
- To establish committed long-term relationships with Short-term Mission organization, individuals and
businesses, that use our Guesthouse facilities while volunteering their services in our community
- To be a responsible steward of God’s creation by enhancing the beauty and managing our land well
For our Students and Graduates
- Acquire life skills that will lead to maturity, a stable work ethic, and healthy relationships
- Develop long-term mentoring relationships within the AHI community for accountability and encouragement, while
developing their own intentional communities
- Learn professional trade skills within the Hospitality sector in order to secure employment and self-sufficiency
as a means to break free from the damaging cycles of poverty
- To secure employment within the Hospitality Sector of Uganda
- Develop characteristics of humility, hard work, self-motivation, teamwork and trustworthiness
- Be drawn closer to the heart of God and develop an active spiritual life
For our Friends and Guests
- To taste living in intentional community amongst committed followers of Jesus
- To participate in forming a positive legacy to future generations throughout the world
- To learn ‘Hospitality’ as a sacred art that they can practice in their own communities as they encourage
others to join in a grassroots movement of living in intentional communities.
- To be transformed by their experiences of working and living in our community.
